The experience if using an Irori for the first time was really good.

− The house was a lot more basic than I had imagined from the photos, descriptions and the price. The floor in the main area of the house is just dirt and although this may be a traditional Japanese farm house I think that if the fee is as much as it was then this should be developed and at least have a concrete floor to reduce dust. The furniture was all cheap and not in great condition and the house itself was basically clean but still dusty. To be charging these prices you need to do a lot more work on the place to bring it up to actually offer good value for money.

Nous avons énormément apprécié l'authenticité et le calme de la Mayadamahouse. C'était une très belle expérience de pouvoir loger dans cette ancienne maison traditionnelle, mais néanmoins équipée du confort de base nécessaire. Nous y avons très bien dormi. La vue sur les montagnes est magnifique et très apaisante.

Exceptional experience

It’s an ancient silkworm farmhouse with barbecue pit in the middle of the house. Very rudimentary but perfect to get a feel of the life of a japanese farmers family. Lots of space

− Arrived late and outside there was no light so finding entrance was tricky
