If we’d booked a camping trip, we’d have been fine!

Location - waking up to the sound of the sea is lovely! The bed was comfortable and we had a decent mosquito net. Paola was very friendly

− We arrived and expected to meet the hosts everyone talks about so positively. They were not there for our trip. When we arrived, the jacuzzi was not usable (filthy) - this was never cleaned during our stay. We ordered lunch when we arrived - 2 hours later, 2 very dry fish meals arrived..the ceiling fan above the bed was missing and in its place was a floor fan that didn’t reach above the bed. This made for 2 very uncomfortable and sweaty nights sleep. We came back on the first night for dinner and our host just disappeared. No sign, no response to WhatsApp messages. (Assuming no WiFi to message us) So we had nuts and Prosecco for dinner that evening! The next morning we had breakfast and the dirty plates were still outside the hut on the following day when we checked out at 12. The second night we chose to eat in Palomino - 45 mins walk if you don’t wade over the river. We love walking so that was not an issue at all. I messaged later on to ask for the local tuk tuk drivers details to get back and no response. Assuming the electric had cut out before she could reply, as I got a response at around 3am that night! (We could see her on a phone call when we got back around midnight however…?) Despite all of the above, the main issue was that there was no electricity nor running water from about 6pm - 3am on both evenings. This means no fridge, no flushing toilet, no lights, no WiFi etc..(there were usb charged lights and torches available, thank goodness, though we did also have our own) I had also messaged before our stay, asking if there was a fridge, as I have medicine that needs to be refrigerated. There was no mention that the fridge would be at risk of being off all night and thus the freezer section defrosting, soaking my medical bag and its contents and causing the temp of my meds to drop.

Ein traumhaftes Häuschen direkt am Strand mit maximaler Privatsphäre. Wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt. Das riesige Bett ist ein Traum und auch das Einschlafen zu Meeresrauschen. Das Frühstück war großartig. Man konnte am Hausstrand wunderbar baden. Es ist etwa 30 Min. zu Fuß am Strand oder 5-10 Minuten mit dem Moto/Tuktuk über die Straße vom Zentrum Palomino entfernt. Dadurch hat man ein ruhiges Idyll. Wir haben ein Motorrad gemietet, so waren wir unabhängig und hatten eine lokale Simkarte, was auch gut war, da das WLan nicht funktioniert hat. So war alles perfekt, danke :)

El emplazamiento es buenísimo. Estás justo al lado del mar, de noche escuchas las olas. A pesar de estar en plena naturaleza estaba bastante limpio y bien equipado. La atención de Matías fue excepcional, muy atento y bueno con nosotros. Si tu intención es desconectar, es tu sitio. Repetiría sin duda
