A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Ithaki: Perched in an oasis of calm amongst the hills above Vathi, this sanctuary feels like stepping into authentic Greek island life. The villa is surrounded by ancient fig and olive groves, along with plum trees (free to pick), a detail that speaks to the genuine hospitality that defines a stay at IthakiHouseII. The villa serves as both a retreat and a launching point. Within minutes, you can descend to Vathi's charming harbour with its waterfront tavernas, or discover the secluded beaches. While a rental car proves essential for fully embracing Ithaki's rugged beauty, the villa's strategic position rewards the adventurous with access to the local sights and hikes that most visitors never find. The accommodation reflects a thoughtful attention to detail and was immaculately kept. The compact kitchen has everything you need and is complete with that essential Nespresso machine for those dawn moments when only perfect coffee will suffice before exploring ancient Odysseus' homeland. But it's the outdoor spaces that truly steal the show—terraced seating areas that capture different moods of light throughout the day, and that hammock. Aah, that hammock, suspended with what might just be Ithaki's most breathtaking panorama stretching endlessly toward the north of the island and mainland. The pool, again maintained to hotel standards with a twice-weekly service, provides the perfect counterpoint to days spent visiting the island's mythic landscapes. Everything shows the care and attention that transforms a good holiday into an unforgettable experience. Perhaps most valuable of all is Katerina herself—a host whose availability, prompt response to any issue and local knowledge of restaurant recommendations led us to tavernas where the catch of the day was still glistening with seawater, and her insights into Ithaki's hidden gems will stay in the memory long after the tan has faded...

− It's hard to find fault with anything at the Villa; if pushed, mastering the shower requires a deft touch, but even that adds to the character of the place.

Very clean, spacious villa in a beautiful setting with a 5 minute drive down to the picturesque port of Vathy which had lovely boutique shops and a good range restaurants Fantastic views from the hillside villa. Beautiful pool to cool off in. The villa had everything we needed. Plenty of wardrobe space, iron, good quality hairdryer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and toastie machine Car advised so you can travel around the island to all the beautiful beaches

Great location, calm, relaxed house with cats. I’d recommend to have awd car to drive to it easily. Hope to come back again.

Perfect Villa in Ithaki

This place was heaven on earth. It is not a party place. You need a taxi to get to the villa unless you are super fit( which we are not)! Luckily Katerina,the hostess had a lovely taxi driver on hand to take us up and down to the town called Spiros Katerina is a perfect host and there was absolutely everything you needed and more. Would highly recommend this place. Loved it xx
