8.0It’s an extraordinary historical in. and the location is terrific. We were one of only two guests and were given the best room with a view. Room and bathroom were excellent and decorated appropriately for the period.
− We were there in late June which is apparently out of season. There was not one restaurant open after 6:30 on the whole island so we ate cheese and crackers. If the hotel had breakfast, or even coffee or tea, that was also inaccessible out of season. The grocery store is, well, an island grocery store. But, this is also what makes the Island special. You can’t have it both ways. Just be prepared. I wish I’d got groceries in ME before getting on the ferry. But none of this is about the hotel.. which was great. VERY comfy bed.
