8.0The Host was very responsive with our every inquiry. Check in was easy, so was our check out. If you know anything about Japan hotels/ Airbnbs, this one was SPACIOUS. We think this was the main reasons why we chose to stay here and we dont regret it. The toilet was separate from the showers and there is a changing room at the shower room. There is also a bonus laundry machine (washing only no drying) and a very useful balcony. Very near the station and is very lowkey. We tried the yakiniku at the below floor and it was good too! and surprisingly, the smell from the yakiniku place doesnt reach our floor. Though just one downside is that the building is situated in like a drinking alley so sometimes at night we hear the people's loud voices from downstairs and also big downside is that a couple of blocks away is a fire station, so we hear the sirens everytime but its okay honestly the sound boils down fast. If you would like to cook, there are no pans just a pot but we still got to cook our breakfast everyday with it so its fine. Theres also a microwave, water boiler, and hair dryer. The water heater and aircon also works (we stayed during winter) and kept us warm during our stay. Theres a nearby shopping mall where you could buy grocery. There's ABC mart, GU, Uniqlo, etc. There is also a nearby 711, Lawson, Cafe Veloce, and Mister donut. Overall, the place was clean, spacious, and very homey. We love it and cant wait to book this again!
Best base for your Tokyo stay
10.0We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Toraken. The location is very convenient. The train station was a two-minute walk, two malls are close by for any last minute shopping, and there are plenty of local restaurants. The neighborhood feels quiet and safe. It was the perfect base for exploring Tokyo. The room was very clean, modern, and well-designed. Everything we needed was there — a comfortable bed, good shower, a laundry, refrigerator, microwave, and thoughtful amenities. The check-in process was quick and easy. I appreciated how smooth everything felt, from arrival to departure. Overall, Hotel Toraken offers great value for money. It’s simple, comfortable, and ideal for travelers who want a relaxing and well-located place to stay in Tokyo. We’d definitely stay here again!
− The WiFi occasionally restarted for some reason, but it reconnected right away, so it wasn’t a major inconvenience for our group. That's the only minor issue we encountered during our stay. Overall, it was a great stay and would definitely book here again.
