It was just what I wanted and more.
8.0Very interesting history for me, going back to 1400's original building in local area. Gorgeous countryside with lots of walking possibilities. Host was knowledgeable about the history of the farm and has refrained from modernising. Lots of atmosphere in the house and position behind Whitbarrow Scar, close to the southern Lake District. NT L
− Certain understandable restrictions, such as no coffee/ tea in my room. A bit disappointing though, to not have much option about the availability of drinks, and no biscuits where they were. I was the only guest at the time which suited me but could have been otherwise if I'd wanted to meet other people.

10.0The relaxing away from the main road, feel about the stay.. Lovely views from the room and house of the Scar. Warm welcome. Comfortable room. Evening walk along quiet lane. Great breakfast. I slept well.
