There is absolutely nothing to like about this place.

The key was not there on arrival. Contacted the owner who claimed he had forgot to leave the key when he attended the property earlier to change a light bulb. Promised to bring the key to me at my sister's within 30 minutes. Didn't arrive after 1 hour. I phoned him back to be told he was at the property and somebody else was in the room when he got there. He apologised and said he would get these people out have the room cleaned again and we could then get in the property in 30 mins time. It was 18.00 hrs by then!! Once we got into the property the communal area was absolutely filthy and stunk awfully. Once in the room it was no better. It had not been cleaned there was rubbish in the bin and was filthy! There was hairs in the shower tray and on the bed. Blood or something on one of the towels which were in the bed as well. My partner fetched cleaning stuff from Morrisons and cleaned the place thoroughly but I would still not stay here due to the smell of the communal area so I stayed with my sister and my partner just simply used the room to sleep at night time nothing else. Large tree right outside the window blocks all view. Beer cans and rubbish thrown out of windows into the garden. This place should be pulled down! See photos of this disgraceful property when I arrived. Booking.com have now stopped taking bookings for this property and I am now going to contact them as well to hopefully get a full refund. Unless the owner Mike would like to offer me a full refund without me having to go to the trouble of doing this as a good will gesture and to save me taking this complaint and pictures to the press and health authorities?

Overall, very disappointed. Would not recommend at all

The magnolia tree outside blocked all the light from the studio & was a habitat for bugs! (It just needs a good cut as I’m sure it’s beautiful when in blossom) The communal areas were dirty & smelly! I know it can’t be helped but the road outside is a noisy “rat run” with cars/motorbikes bombing up & down both day & night (so to call the apartment “tranquil” is deceiving & completely untrue!) We were kept awake by a man in the block of flats next door shouting & swearing at his partner!! A young child was also told to “shut up” so mixing tourists & residents is not necessarily appropriate. There is litter in the front garden (beer cans etc..) which look like they have been literally thrown out of the window! There apartment itself is poor & tired! Cobwebs, marks on paintwork, ill fitting kitchen units, spotlight hanging down, blood on the pillows, large squashed bugs on the roller blind, dust, out of date/opened food left in cupboard, “welcome pack” (a few long life milk pots, sugar, tea/coffee etc…) literally just thrown in a box! An iron & board were supplied but the iron didn’t work! Laminate flooring uneven, chipped etc… Information said we could park next door in the pay & display. However this needs to be updated as the maximum stay is 10 hours (which was obviously no good as staying for 2 nights!) No WiFi

Easy to find and access. Excellent location.

The apartment is right next to the Morrisons car park and within easy walking distance of town centre. You can use the carpark for free overnight: 6.00pm to 8.00am (check those hours). Very convenient.

Absence of wi-fi.

Good location, unfortunately, unclean, cooker & window not working, we stayed elsewhere.

Location was very good close to high street and river

Unfortunately we ended up not staying as the cooker didn’t work, the window didn’t shut , the bed wasn’t clean. The general standard of the property was poor. As we couldn’t use the cooker we ended up buying microwave meals from the supermarket. One of the ceiling lights was hanging off the ceiling. Even the washing up bowl had holes in it. We arranged accommodation elsewhere.
