Overall, a frustrating and uncomfortable stay—definitely avoid this property.

The villa itself was spacious, even more so than advertised. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a secure parking space. Additionally, Mr. Wayan, the local caretaker, went above and beyond to make our stay better—a big shoutout to him. The owner was willing to refund our stay after the first night (we booked the villa for 8 nights) on the condition of approval from Booking.com. However, the approval didn’t come until the 5th or 6th day, by which point we had no opportunity to move elsewhere.

− The overall state of the villa was subpar. The walls were moldy, and there was a persistent bad odor throughout the villa, which might explain why air fresheners were hung on every AC unit. The whole property was also infested with ants, making our stay even more uncomfortable. We were unable to use the pool because the wooden deck next to it was rotten and broken in places, with rusty nails sticking out—absolutely unsafe, and we didn’t want to risk needing a tetanus shot. Additionally, there were no sunbeds or anything suitable to lay on, except for a moldy, rotten beanbag that was infested with ants. The kitchen was poorly equipped. We had to purchase basic items like a knife just to be able to cook. The main reason we chose this villa was to cook and BBQ, but there were only two pots, no knife to cut, and the outdoor BBQ was more of a decoration, as there was no grill or any BBQ equipment available. The duvet had no cover on it. When we asked about this, the owner claimed that it's normal and that they wash the duvet after every guest, which is highly questionable. Never in my life have I stayed at a property with insufficient bedding. To add to our concerns, we later found the duvet cover in the guest bedroom's cabinet, making the owner's statement about washing the duvet after every client even more questionable. Additionally, the outdoor lamp over the garden table was not working. I attempted to change the light bulb, only to find that the fixture was encroached by a bees' nest, making it impossible to fix the light without risking a bee sting. Overall, while the villa is large and has the potential to be a great place to stay, it is extremely run-down and poorly maintained. I strongly advise others to stay away!
