Homey stay in the Broads

9.0

For our group, the location was perfect for exploring the Broads. From here you can walk around the town (be sure to visit St Catherine’s church and St Benet’s Abbey, and Toad Hole Cottage at How Hill), or take a short drive to several nature reserves where you can watch wildlife, or take a short guided boat trip. You can even comfortably visit Sutton Hoo on a day trip (we did). The Maltings is very ‘homey’, with lots of pictures, ornaments and curios. Plenty of seating. We had all the cooking appliances we could need. Little extra touches like a tablecloth and cooking apron were also appreciated (and used). Lovely little courtyard with seating and table, and space to dry laundry outside. Off street parking for one vehicle.

Only one car parking space per booking, although there is room to squeeze another car out of the way in the car park.

Great stay - would book again.

The position and cleanliness. The village. Lovely welcome hamper. All the games and books and information on surrounding area.

The sofas need new seat cushions as not very comfortable and the courtyard was lovely but would have loved a sun reclining chair . Bunk bed mattress are uncomfortable ( main bed and singles were fine tho!)

This cottage was perfect for my husband and I as we visited The Broads for a kayaking holiday

This cottage had absolutely everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. The welcome pack a wonderful gesture and message prior to arrival to ask what sort of milk we wanted reflected the general attention to detail. The location was perfect for us
