Owners cancelled booking 4hours before check in- Be aware- Disgraceful

Extremely disappointing experience. The owners cancelled our accommodation just 4 hours before check-in on a long weekend, providing no explanation whatsoever. This left us stranded with virtually no accommodation options available in town at such short notice. To make matters worse, the owner did not respond to any of our calls or messages, leaving us completely in the dark and scrambling to find alternative arrangements. A complete lack of communication and consideration for guests. I would not recommend booking here if you value reliability and customer service. Thank God for Farmers Quarters who came to the rescue!

Space isnt everything

It was spacious and bright. The main bedroom was comfy. Nice quiet street.

− The dishwasher had plates in it when we arrived and on opening it, it absolutely stank of off meat. Even after hand washing the glasses, etc, the smell was still present. The floors were nice and new but our feet were black and filthy after walking around, making socks a necessity .There were massive cracks in the house. The wi fi was disappointing and had glitches constantly. The two front rooms beds were squeaky. The water in the ensuite vanity was pathetic,water dribbled out. We had to go out and buy a vaccum and mop as there was only a dust pan and broom and especially for a 12 night stay with a 1yr old you need cleaning materials.

It was a scam. The accommodation was not bookable. They took our money but no accommodation.

− That we did not have an alternative to stay anywhere and only found out when we arrived.

Disappointed

− The property cancelled our booking with no notice when we had already arrived at the location in Mudgee from Sydney. I understand that maintenance has to happen however notice would be appreciated so that we can organise a refund and booking of new accomodation.
