Great natural and cultural experience
10.0Very clean and all looked like new, well maintained. In the middle of a beautiful frozen forest. We had so much fun with the snow shoes, skis and slays provided by them. Great finish sauna facility with possibility to go inside a tank with almost frozen water. Also traditional finish space to grill sausages. Such a great experience.
− No water pipes. A large water container is provided to the room though. It was not a big issue for us. We no supermarket or restaurant very close, so we had to buy everything we needed before going to the accommodation. Again, it was not a problem as we had all planned. 😊
Memorable stay!
10.0What an amazing place! Every little detail has been thought of and the cabins are clean and incredibly cozy. There are many places to explore on the property, my favourite was a kota on a hill overlooking the beautiful forest. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and authentic experience!

10.0The cabin itself and everything built around it were wonderful. Nice and cozy with the fire burning, and the sauna and hero bath are amazing. Everything you need for a quiet little nature escape. And the host, Ritta-Liisa, makes the entire experience even more special. A memory to treasure.

Magical place
10.0We had a truly wonderful stay at Eco Unela. From the very first moment we arrived we felt warmly welcomed and completely at home. Riitta Liisa is such a kind, positive and heartfelt person and you can truly feel how much love and care she has put into creating this special place. The cabin was cozy and peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. Waking up to the birds right outside our window felt magical. There is a very special atmosphere here. You can truly feel the calmness, the connection to nature and the magic of Lapland. One of our absolute highlights was the traditional Finnish sauna. It was such a special and beautiful experience. There are time slots where you can sign up for the sauna which worked perfectly for everyone. On our last evening Riitta Liisa even kindly gave us an extra hour which we appreciated so much. Experiencing the traditional way of washing in the sauna felt very authentic and almost like stepping back in time. It was a truly memorable experience. We also loved that we could borrow snowshoes, skis and sleds for free which made exploring the snowy forest even more special. The two fireplaces were wonderful as well especially the one in the middle of nature. It is a perfect place to sit, enjoy the silence and look up at the northern sky while hoping to see the northern lights. Eco Unela is a truly unique and peaceful place. Thank you Riitta Liisa for your warmth and hospitality. We wish you all the best and lots of health and we hope to come back again someday.
