AVOID!!! URINE / FAECES ON BEDDING - OWNER UNRESPONSIVE

1.0

Location if it were safer, clean and managed professionally

BEWARE - Filthy bedding; Dirty cups; No toilet paper. Security bad - gate jams and locks you out - not safe especially for women and the owner is aware of this and has done nothing to rectify what would be an easy fix - read the reviews. I was locked out and a neighbour let me in - I was afraid to go out after dark because I couldn't get back into gate. The place was not fit for habitation. Bedding soaked in urine/faeces and blood (perhaps because he doesn't supply toilet paper??) Owner sent clean bedding for one bed but not til 9pm by which time I had paid for my daughter to stay elsewhere and the evening was ruined trying to sort out HIS property. I was professional and polite but he blocked me (he was on holiday and didn't want to be bothered according to cleaners) and when I asked him to refund the first night he refused to even respond or address the issue with Booking.com resolution. As a responsible retired landlady (Landlords Association) I am appalled at the way this guy is operating. As additional info - place is full of glass with inadequate curtains so too light so you need mask to sleep - and stinking hot with no fans - when windows open there is noise from chinese restaurant extractor; and pub goers on way home in alley way. Siting room exposed to alley and neighbours so you feel the blinds have to be kept down for privacy. This guy is out for the booking money and doesn't care about reviews or doing any basic rectification checks. BEWARE - read reviews and avoid at all costs.

Great location, right in the centre of town and yet quiet.

8.0

Location and quiet (Glad I read the review about how to open the gate before arriving - suggest you add it to arrival instructions)

A small table and two dining chairs would complete facilities. A floor mat in bathroom was missing and only one loo roll for a three night stay was a little mean!

I have been charged for this property when I did not stay there. I was staying at the Nook in Blandford Forum

The property was clean and had everything we needed!

The parking. Time allocated street and car park parking (free overnight as long as the car is moved before 8am or paid for) the paid parking from 8-6pm)!

Fantastic location, Extremely quiet. 3 mins walk from everything you would need. Overall a good stay but more attention needs to be given to the basic things.

There were basic things missing like a hand towel in the bathroom, no full length mirror or hairdryer (something you really want to avoid having to pack!) I read previous comments about condiments not being there so made sure I checked before I went shopping, only to find an empty salt container when I got back! 🤪 Had to scrub shower head as water was not flowing freely due to limescale, but pressure good enough.
