Beautiful stay in Bownes-on-Windermere
9.0Property was clean, as advertised and comfortable for my family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the host was extremely good with communication. We enjoyed the location - walking distance from everywhere, nearby free parking, views of the lake from the top floor bedrooms. There was a really thoughtful and much appreciated hamper of water, beer, prosecco and cookies. This was a really nice touch. Overall would highly rate this property!
− This is very minor, but it needs to be said. If the property advertises facilities, they should be provided. We ran out of toilet paper 5 days into our 7 day stay, and asked the host for a resupply, but this was refused. A bit of a dampener on an otherwise excellent stay, all for the £5 it would have cost in toilet paper. Suggestion: make it clear that the toilet paper is a starter rather than a facility for the whole stay.

9.0Location was fantastic. Instructions on how to enter and book in great and I contacted the owner about a trivial matter and got an immediate response.
− The third floor apartment was up three flights of stairs which had I not had my adult daughter with me I would have struggled with suitcases. Lovely apartment once we had got in. Parking conveniently just around the corner and we managed to park almost outside the property to unload although it was restricted to an hour maximum.
