Fabulous! Amazing safari and a lovely stay at Nsala.

Fabulous place, comfortable, beautifully decorated, great food, friendly staff. Our safari guide Sunday was amazing, he exceeded our expectations, and did more than necessary to ensure we saw some lions on our last drive. Thoroughly recommend, wish we could have stayed longer. 😀

The staff was outstanding: Sunday, the Ranger, is very game & tracking knowledgeable, a competent driver and always willing to please. Aaron, the Sous Chef, is a great cook, his food was always tasty and well presented. Vicki is always willing to please.

− The rooms were poorly appointed with many deficiencies such as no bathroom shelves, zero clothes hanging space, no kettle or fridge. The wifi signal was very weak. When returning from a game drive, no refreshments were available, except on request. The impression created is the establishment is run on a shoestring, power consumption is severely restricted. Hot water was always tepid both to shower and make tea/ coffee using hot water flasks. The wine selection was very poor. Communication between Game Lodges as to the whereabouts of various game sightings is non- existent which leaves game tracking and sighting in the thick mopani bush extremely difficult, resulting in limited game viewing. No step or mounting block is available to assist elederly guests to climb onto the game viewing vehicle. The rogue monkeys are a nuisance as there is no key to lock the chalet door to stop them from opening the door, a chair is positioned to stop the door from opening.

All the staff was incredibly helpful. The food is great, and the location of the camp was amazing. Monkeys were part of our day to day while at Nsala, we were able to hear lions roar multiple mornings, and there was even an elephant that drank from the pool one night!

− The game drives could improve. The guide is very knowledgeable, and he made the drives not only entertaining, but also a moment of learning. However, there was only one person to drive, look for the animals and avoid spider webs (and other obstacles), making it harder for him to find the hidden animals. If there was someone else along with him to help spot the wildlife, it would’ve been perfect.
