If my other family members had their way we would have given 1 star rating because of the problems we faced Good things about the property -Very spacious, great views from the huge balcony and the balcony sitting area Two toilets Large living room and kitchen

− This apartment is located on the hillside and to reach it you will have to travel through extremely narrowing winding roads with cars parked on one side and barely room left for a single passing car, not to mention the tight hairpin bends. (These should be mentioned in the description) Once you reach the apartment parking is a nightmare. There is a sloping parking area where you have to park your car and has to be done very tactfully. When I initially tried to park, my car undercarriage kept hitting the road and the car would shut down itself. We were just not sure how to park. Fortunately a neighbour came out and showed us how to get our car on the slopping parking area. (None of this was told to us by the owner). Then of course you have a whole lot stairs to take your luggage up. The house and kitchen is hi-tech but the refrigerator does not have freezer (i messaged the owner, got no response!). On the first day when we started cooking some of the steam from boiling food activated the fire alarm and it shut down the induction cooker. We just couldn’t get it switched on. It was almost 10pm ,we were all terribly hungry, food wasn’t ready and we just did not know what to do. We open the trip meter box but everything looked ok. We messaged the owner, no response , tried calling on the number at booking.com no response. After a frustrating one hour, hungry and angry 😡, we again opened the trip meter box again and at one place there was a small message in Norwegian which we translated with google app and it mentioned about how to prevent the induction cooker shut down and how to restart it……..we finally had our dinner. Btw our owner responded the next day!!! We had few other problems during our stay and i messaged our owner, he never responded……..extremely irritating ! This problem, I have faced with all the booking.com rentals which I booked in norway, is that none of the owners or their representatives are available on site.

Bedrooms were good size.

− Very narrow zig zag road to the house and stairs to the front door., View of the smelting plant.

Trotzdem (s.o.) ein erholsamer Aufenthalt.

Schöne Aussicht, hübsch sanierte Wohnung - allerdings nicht ganz den Fotos entsprechend.

− Die abgebildeten Fotos sind nicht ganz der Realität entsprechend, es fehlten die Blumentöpfe, Wandbilder, Kissen …. worunter die Gemütlichkeit leidet. Im Badezimmer war zeitweise ein unangenehmer Geruch. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, die Herdplatte ließ sich allerdings nicht aktivieren. Insgesamt schade, dass man diese Abstriche machen muss - zumal sie schon in früheren Bewertungen angesprochen wurden und der Preis für die Wohnung eher hoch ist.

Fantastic stay with beautiful views, a comfortable bed and a very friendly host. Highly recommended!

Amazing fjord views, very clean and comfortable accommodation. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Great location for visiting Trolltunga. Everything was well organized and we had a wonderful stay.
