Great for a nice calm stay

A really good place if you want to spend your holidays in a peaceful, traditional, greek village.

The house is situated in a traditional and peaceful village of Kallirachi, just a couple of minutes by walk from a shop with variety of fresh fish, convinience shop and traditional bakery. People in the village are very helpful and pleasent. The house is comfortable, good for families with children, with big terrace with wonderful view on surrounding mountains, the village and the sea. The house is equipped with a grill so you can make use of the nearby fisherman's shop. The house is not equipped in airconditioning, however the temperture inside was reasonable, ceiling fans were avaliable in bedrooms. All the windows were equipped with mosquito nets. The gate from upper to lower part of terrace was properly secured, so our children playing in the terrace were safe. We enjoyed additional entrance to the bathroom directly from the terrace (really helpful if you don't want to disturb your sleeping chlidren). Beautiful (also really secluded) beaches available just a few minutes by car.

− Since Kallirachi is a traditional villege there is a problem with car park places - it's difficult to park your car near to the house, however there were always places available near the school (we were informed in advance, that it's not easy to park a car, so we were not surprised). The path from the nearest parking place is not very long and rather pleasent - but really problematic if you want to transport your 2-week luggage from your car to the house and back. The kithchen was not equipped very well - an electric kettle broke down during our stay, there were only few pots, only one knife (apart from dinner knives). Internet was not available throughout our whole stay (this was not a big issue for us, since we had free access via our domestic mobile operator). Water in the shower was usually really hot, but we had one day during our stay without sun and there was not enough hot water for our entire family.
