− Travelled from Manchester and 10 mins before arrival told us they had to cancel stay Was refunded but ruined weekend

Lovely area, lodge and holiday park, simple fixes needed for accommodation

The property itself was lovely inside with great views. Everywhere inside was very clean and to a high standard. The fixtures and fittings were excellent and all bedding and towels were spotless. The owner very kindly let us check in early which was very welcome due to the extreme heat. The staff onsite were very helpful and friendly and it is in a great place to explore the area.

− It is right next to a very busy and noisy dual carriageway that you can hear all the time but is particularly intrusive when trying to relax outside, not something the owners can help but I think it should be noted. As a person that comes from a rural area, this would have been helpful information to me when choosing accommodation. The exterior and decking area needs a really good clean and an update or clean of the furniture. The hot tub was well overdue an empty, refill and a good scrub, it wasn’t very pleasant. There was insufficient crockery, not even 1 each of some items and the quality was not in keeping with the lodge. We had to go and buy a better quality frying pan to cook decent steak. It’s a shame because these are easily fixable things and I can see from reviews that some have been raised before but not actioned.

− The lodge wasn't clean there was crumbs in draws and we couldn't sit outside as the chairs where dirty and there where fag ends on the decking
