Η κ.Σοφια είναι καταπληκτική σαν οικοδεσπότης αλλά κ εξαιρετική σαν άνθρωπος.Η καθαριότητα στο κατάλυμα ήταν σε καθημερινή βάση.Αν ξαναπάω Κάρπαθο θα το προτιμήσω πάλι.

− Toilets and showers were challenging at times in our unit. Not the most modern place, but minimal quirks are easily outweighed by the perks. Quaint, comfortable island living.

An adequate base for exploration of Karpathos

Excellent location, balcony. The owner is very nice. Without exception, the food in the restaurants was much superior to what we have experienced on Rhodes and Symi. People on Karpathos seem more content, straight forward and did not pressure sell us on anything. The island has amazing beaches and air has less particulate so colors are surprisingly vivid, even by Greek standards. You will probably rent a car and eat out (you will not be cooking in this “kitchen”), so though a bit rough around the edges, the money saved with this booking can be allocated to other expenses.

− It is just a bit rough and dated. Shower drain is a scar in the floor and barely drains. Plastic toilet tank once white is yellowed. Mattress is thin. Furniture laminated particle board from 1973. Not to lambast the place. People should just know what they are signing up for. That said, everything “works” and the price is very reasonable. We spent most time out of the room anyway—but if someone wants posh bedding etc., this is not the place. It is utilitarian, but the money we saved staying here covered our diving and car rentals.

The owner was very friendly and really kind. She welcomed me with some sweets, and she was always ready to help me. She also called a taxi to the airport for me. I received her replies via Booking.com almost immediately each time. The room was cleaned every two days by a cheerful lady. Location is very good and quiet. The air conditioner in the bedroom worked efficiently, keeping it comfortable throughout my stay.

− Due to the building's age, some equipment, such as a showerhead and an electric pot, may require maintenance or replacement, though I didn't care so much about them. If your suitcase is heavy, I recommend requesting the ground floor because there is no lift. However, the owner kindly helped me carry mine upstairs. Overall I enjoyed staying there.
