Spectacular property, great value for money

What a beautiful property! We had the most amazing time there celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The staff were all fantastic, particularly Dion our safari guide. We had some amazing sightings, the highlights being a black rhino, a trio of male lions and a hippo mother and her baby playing outside the water. We felt the property was exceptional value for money and accommodated our large family well.

This is the most beautiful and well equipped luxury lodges you’ll find! The furnishings, the equipment, decor, attention to detail, thoughtful extras, are in a league of their own. One steps into the main house, very a large, stylish space with high thatched roof and beautiful dining, kitchen and seating areas. The first thing that blew me away is a huge television with 24h trail cam of the water hole outside. On that TV we saw elephant, rhino and antelope coming and bush babies at night. Then the outside entertainment area with gas Braai, Boma, seating and huge dining table that is laid for you daily. 4 staff members are on duty and silently (almost invincible) keeps everything perfectly in order. The viewing deck at the water hole is also extremely thoughtful, with lounge, dining table and woven seating pods. There are 5 individual lodge houses that can sleep 2/3 people each, tucked away in their own spaces with neat paths through the immaculate garden. There’s even an elevated wooden deck with stairs where the safari vehicle picks you up. Included in the rate, are 2 safari drives daily and Lara, the guide, is a lovely, friendly, kind and competent ranger! It’s self-catering so you bring all your own food and drinks, but you won’t lack any catering and bar equipment. 2 wine coolers, an ice machine, 2 huge fridges, every possible appliance… absolutely amazing!

We hadden een fantastische gids die echt de tijd nam om ons alle dieren uitgebreid te laten bekijken, de Big 5 allemaal gezien incl de Black Rhino en het leopard. Het onderkomen was meer dan compleet. De algemene ruimte met keuken, eetruimte binnen en buiten en het zwembad waren al erg fijn maar ook de 5 eigen kamers voor al onze medereizigers. En alles in tip top conditie. De vuurplaats en BBG zone was echt fantastisch. Self catering was echt heel prettig omdat het je flexibel maakt in de tijdsduur van de drives. Black Rhinopark heeft echt voldaan aan alle verwachtingen en meer. De info vooraf vanuit de verhuurder ter plekken was zeer compleet net als de info waar er vooraf boodschappen gedaan kunnen worden. Let op dat je voldoende eten mee brengt want even boodschappen doen gaat niet lukken, is te ver en als je alle drives wil doen ook geen tijd voor.
