We enjoyed that the house had all the amenities to make for a flawless stay with a large family. We liked the coffee maker every morning and the separate eating areas to chat, play games or eat. The views from the balcony were lovely.

Spacious house for our group

We got married on Faroe Islands. This was the largest house for us and our friends I could find in the vicinity of Tórshavn and it couldn't have been better. We enjoyed sharing time as a group together and still all rooms had enough privacy to retreat. The large kitchen and dining room were perfect for breakfasts together before our daily activities and to hang out at the end of the day. Very well equipped kitchen. A bus stop and a good amount of free public parking is right by the house.

− The key for the downstairs bedroom was not at the door and it took several hours till we got a reply where they were, but then all good.

Bad stay with a rude host

The living room and dinning room are big enough for us.

− 1. The host told me that “I see on the reservation, that you are from USA, but what is your nationality?” I don’t know why he wanted to know this. 2. There is washing machine for the client to use but the cleaning lady has higher priority. When I want to use the washing machine about 10:00 PM on July 20th. I found some clothes inside the washing machine and told the host. Thost told me "My cleaning lady uses the Laundry, so you can use it, when it is available". 3. The free street parking is available 90 meters away down a very steep slope. It is difficult to take your luggage to the house. Even you reach the base of the house. You need to carry your luggage cross the unpaved road to the main entrance up hill. It is very convenient. 4. The host put some decoration monkey and bird toys in front of the window. We had to move the decoration toys away when we open the window. We don’t want the wind blow down the toys away. But the host blamed us moved his valuable monkey and bird toys. 5. There is no bath gel and shampoo in the bath rooms. The host told me that “Shampoo and bath gel is normally not included in houses in Scandinavia”. But, when we rent houses at Norway, all the owners provided bath gel and shampoo and even some food for guests. The host rent his house to guest to stay like hotels. They should provide basic supplies such as bath gel and shampoo. If he couldn’t, he should tell us before check in, so we can have time to buy. 6. In the morning of the check-out day. The host came and wanted to check if we damaged anything in his house. But he couldn’t find anything damaged. After he arrived, he started to brag thar he is so proud of his culture. As a host, he never learned to respect the tourist culture and his guests. Guests are his customers, and customers are his “Gods”.
