Guesthouse sympathique et bien située, très proche de la plage. Location de scooters possible, ce qui nous a permis d'explorer l'île en toute liberté. Personnel très sympathique qui nous a indiqué les principaux lieux d'intérêts (avec des recommandations moins touristiques !!)

Einzig die Dunkelheit durch relativ kleine Fenster im Zimmer war etwas, was gestört hat. Allerdings ist das kein gravierender Mangel, da man sich ja überwiegend draußen aufhält. Dafür war die Möglichkeit Wasser, Tee oder Kaffee auf dem gemeinsamen Flur zu machen ein nicht zu unterschätzender Vorteil. Alles ist dieser Unterkunft ist ansonsten entspannt und die Gastgeber leben das einfach vor. Die Lage ist ideal für kurze Wege zum Beach, in tolle Lokale, gerade der Thai in der direkten Nachbarschaft war definitiv unser Favorit, auch zum Einkaufszentrum. Alles in Allem ein gelungener einwöchiger Aufenthalt.

I absolutely loved this hostel! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and you immediately feel like you’ve been there for weeks within your first few days. It’s a comfy set up with an amazing location (only a 2 min walk from the beach!) They are always playing some jams out in the common area, and that really just adds to the home-y vibe of the place. I couldn’t recommend Home Sol enough!

A home away from home in Langkawi

I originally planned to stay in Langkawi for just one week, but after only a few days at Home Sol Guesthouse, I already knew I wanted to extend my stay. In the end, I stayed for almost an entire month, which says everything about how comfortable and welcome I felt here. From the moment I arrived, Home Sol felt like a home away from home. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful details, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The communal lounge area is the heart of the place – a comfortable, shaded space with fans where it’s easy to meet other travellers, have great conversations, or simply relax. There are also plenty of quieter corners if you want some time to yourself. The dorms are among the best I have ever stayed in. They are cool, dark, and surprisingly peaceful, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The atmosphere among guests is very respectful and relaxed, which makes a huge difference in a shared dorm. The location is excellent as well. Although it’s in the Pantai Cenang area, it is tucked away just enough to offer a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere while still being close to the beach, restaurants, cafés, and everything else you might need. Scooter rental is available directly at the guesthouse for fair prices, and the team is always happy to share recommendations and local tips. What truly makes Home Sol special, however, are the people. The volunteers, manager, owners, and everyone involved create an incredibly welcoming environment and genuinely care about the guests. Their kindness, helpfulness, and positive energy are a huge part of why this place feels so special and why so many guests end up extending their stay. Home Sol is much more than just a guesthouse – it’s a place where people connect, feel at home, and create lasting memories. I arrived planning to stay for one week and left almost a month later. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
