Wonderful comfy stay in a great location
9.0What a fantastic place! It was a bit tricky to get to up the steep hill in the ice but once we were in, it was brilliant. It’s a lot bigger than it looks in pictures, and it is so well equipped. Often in staycation places, the mugs are tiny and there’s not enough loo roll etc, but there is everything you need here! The underfloor heating and gas fire are so lovely for staying toasty, the main bed is so comfy, a wonderful welcome pack or food and milk was provided, and the coffee machine is *chefs kiss*. We did days out to Castleton, Bakewell, Thornbridge hall (Thornbridge brewery for pizza and beer is great!) and Ladybower reservoir/Bamford edge, which the property is perfectly located for. We also did a walk from the doorstep which brought stunning views in the snow. We had our 2 dogs and baby with us and we all had a wonderful, restful week.
− Only tiny criticisms are the bath towels are very small and water pressure in the shower is weak. But that wouldn’t put us off coming again, we are looking for dates in the diary to get booked back in :)
