A very pleasant 16th century inn with friendly staff in a delightful Oxfordshire village.

8.0

We picked this hotel on a whim for a last-minute stay while en route from A to B. The Inn is located in the centre of a charming Oxfordshire village with on-site parking. The rooms were attractively decorated, comfortable and not too hot given the weather. We had dinner in the bar which was good pub food, and the included breakfast was wholesome.

In general all very good, although the night access door from the car park to our corridor of rooms was broken so anyone could wander in - not a great worry given the rural location but needs fixing.

Easy free parking, a large comfortable room and bed. Very pleasant helpful staff, good breakfast and dinner.

The windows could not be opened or secured open so the room was rather stuffy. There was mould in the bathroom which looked unpleasant.

Fab pub/hotel in a lovely village

8.0

Ideal stop off not far off the A34 and M40 on our journey from down south to up north. With the England match on watching with the locals, fab bonus in this proper village pub. Nice room. Lovely breakfast with good choices and decent sausages and bacon. Recommended this pub/hotel.
