A blissful retreat
10.0We stayed at Honeybird cottage. It was very thoughtfully designed with fabulous views over endless hills. The cottage was very well stocked with quality kitchen and braai equipment and furniture. There was an indoor log burner for colder nights and a full size fridge. Bed was very comfortable with nice linen, and the bath was just heavenly next to the window looking out on the views. There was aircon albeit it turned off late afternoon as the cottage uses a solar battery. There was a ceiling fan in the bedroom which helped. It was also easy to park outside the cottage. No shade for the car so remember your windscreen sun guard. Wifi worked well.
− We would return and happily recommend this place for a couples retreat. A couple of improvements can be made: the sign and turn off on the N2 is very vague and unclear. Secondly, the wood fired hot tub takes very long to heat up - so for guests only staying for one day, it would not get it heated up in time. It may be good if the staff can start the fire in the tub in the morning prior to guests arrival to give them a chance to enjoy the tub warm. I would also recommend that guests bring their own dry wood, as the wood provided by the owner was a bit wet and problematic to braai with and use in the hot tub.

10.0Die Unterkunft war einfach traumhaft! Mitten in der Natur, raus aus dem Trubel - die perfekte Möglichkeit seinen Akku wieder aufzuladen. Das Haus ist mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

8.0The facilities were great, it has everything you can ask for, it's very neat and nicely done and also clean. It was also nice to have WiFi so we could work from there if needed. The views are amazing and it's nicely private.
− The only thing that was a small issue was the hot tub could have been cleaner, there was some (what looked like) algae and some settlement on the bottom of the tub, but not much and it wasn't bad, we still thoroughly enjoyed the tub.

10.0Sans aucun doute le plus beau lodge de tous nos séjours. Le paysage est exceptionnel et l'agencement, pour l'été comme pour l'hiver, était incroyable. Excellent contact avec l'hôte. Merci infiniment pour ce magnifique souvenir ❤️
− N'y être restée que 2 nuits. Avec les trajets, 3 nuits auraient été un plus!
