5.0We were able to drop off the luggage the day before and we were given the keys so we could reenter at check in time the following day.
− The host's relative (who lives upstairs) did not make copies of our passports when they gave us the keys. The host requested that they be sent digitally, which we were unable to do, primarily because the host initially did not provide us with the Wi-Fi password. After asking multiple times, we received the password, but we still could not provide the copies digitally. In the end, the host made us feel as if it was our fault, but she should have come by in the many hours we were available in the apartment. In one of her texts, she mentioned that by the end of the morning, she would talk with the police, which we took to imply that we were the problem and there would be consequences. I did not like even the mention of the police. All of a sudden, she came down the stairs and took pictures of our documents. Why I had to spend so much time on this issue as a guest is unexplainable. Other issues include, no A/C, a huge number of stairs up, making it challenging to take luggage to the apartment, ther were odors throughout the apartment, especially the bathroom which was not properly cleaned, and possibly from some furniture that should have been removed many years ago like the very old cloth chairs, and a small and old washing machine. Finally, the large bed was so hard that my wife decided to sleep in the smaller but warmer room. There is a lot to be improved in this apartment.
