Quiet neighborhood yet close to highway and shops (if you have a car). Two toilets and showers. Had pots and pans to cook. Owner was responsive.

− TV was flickering, more lounge seating will be good. Really need to replace the blinds which didn’t block the light from outside.

Place size and location were good but a lot needs to be done to the property to a basic standard.

The location and the parking on the property. It was nice having a outdoor deck. The size of the house was adequate.

− Heating. Ducted heating not working and owner wasn't upfront that it was inoperable at the time of booking. Oil heaters provided not ideal. Split system only suited kitchen and dining space, other heater only suited area leading into lounge room. Was brought up with the owner and a slight discount was given. Mouldy throughout property. In the bathroom and around taps and around the kitchen area including a mouldy chopping board and around bedroom windows. General cleanliness. Venetian blinds rusty, screens in window areas including the bathrooms very dirty. Safety issues. Water temperature too hot. Gas stovetop faucets not all working, and very old. Rangehood very greasy, and only one light working. Sensor light not working on the front steps. Venetian blinds folded, and tied at the side, this is a safety issue. Front broken turf out the front the threads loose, sand uneven underneath, sheets of metal leaning on a bush. Oven door doesn't seal properly. Maintenance not up to scratch. Light fittings had cobwebs on them. Two light fittings in the lounge area didn't have globes working. There was also a mismatched globe in the dining area. Oven display not working. Fan in the bigger bathroom is very clunky and needs to be fixed. Constant swinging broken door on garage that keeps on banging. Screen door at the front of the house needs adjusting. Shower door stuck in small bathroom. Chipped shower recess. Rust on fan/lights. Kitchen facilities. No utensil container provided in dishwasher. No mixing bowls, or measuring cups and not enough cutlery, rust on some utensils and not enough tea towels. Privacy. Only one covered curtain throughout the house. Need to have more protective curtains to provide privacy for guests staying there. Advertising on the website. No hot tub (its a bath), no desk, only one tv, misleading photos of bedrooms. Only one key provided. Wifi very very slow not good for streaming on tv.

Good location for what we needed. Bedroom set up not amazing.

Great space for R&R

The location worked great for family visiting from overseas. Everything we needed was supplied. Very handy to shops. We spent one afternoon at the Monash pool and the next day at Edithvale beach. Perfect. We really appreciated being able to do an early check in. Don’t get that with motels

Simple spacious house, host was very helpful. Quiet street, not far from amenities and trains. You still need a car but buses are close by to the train station.

Homely home away from home

It was very spacious and homely and it had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely be staying again. It was great value for money too. Its not the most modern place but the price is right for it...plus it's comfy. That was the main thing. It was warm too. Plenty of heating options. Easy access to shopping centre. Brandon park.

− There have been reviews about curtains. It would be nice to have a curtain in the kitchen. Plus the main bedroom curtains are pretty old and let's alot of light in so it was hard to gave a sleep in. But to be honest, neighbours fence was high so not overly an inconvenience. Very minor complaint overall.
