7.0The road in is VERY narrow when entering past the thatched building so I would highly recommend using the other entrance a little further on to avoid any wing mirrors being smashed. Upon entering the location on a beautiful sunny afternoon, at first glance it is a breath taking home with stunning scenery that makes you feel like you truly have found something very special indeed. The host was very pleasant and accommodating and we settled into our new home for the next 2 nights. Never have I stayed in a location called a B&B to be left with an almost self catering experience. Breakfast wasn't made or cooked for you, it was a simple case of bread that had been bought, cereal, butter, jam, milk and orange juice. There is nothing wrong with that, it was just a little strange. In summary, we loved the location, the exterior, the fascinating history!!
− Understandably the House has a lot of charm and character, however I thought a lot of the decor was looking tired. Ripped in places, sun bleached to high hell in others. Stains were noticed here and there. The bedroom window to the side of the bed was unbudgeable and in this heat would have been great to be able to open. Also, for some unfathomable reason, you could not lock the door to the room, rendering it not private. Belongings were still very much in the room in draws and cupboards which felt a little like you were intruding someone's property if that makes sense. I guess if this was deemed as a proper B&B, there needs to be some tweaks to get it up to the standards people would expect.

9.0A very special place to spend two extremely peaceful nights away from it all. Old world, dark skies, and very remote, full of history and character. Our host made sure she did everything possible to meet our needs. An unforgettable stay

− Very outdated and not that clean, house had a smell of damp/mold and breakfast was slightly dissapointing.
