A lovely homely stay that made us feel very comfortable and part of the family
10.0Bunty was incredibly welcoming, we had a lovely dinner cooked for us and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Only 6 minutes by tuk tuk to Kandy lake etc and a shop opposite the house if you want to buy any water/snacks. We had our first Sri Lankan meal here and it was perfect. The room is great with AC and big mosy nets and a lovely balcony view too. Bunty and co are all very welcoming and if we ever stay in Kandy again, then it will certainly be here.

10.0Everything was perfect, My favourite was the food by the lady Darshi, a Brakefast mix of Sri Lanken with green soup ( kola kenda) and the typical Sri Lanken dinner little spicy but it was super tasty also the homemade dessert ummm.., after the beers 🍻 👌. Very comfortable bed, sonic sun set view, hand made tea tasted first time and it was wonderful, Special thank to Bunty for arranging the knuckles mountain hiking for a very good price also arranging and introducing Nasa the tuk tuk friend. Highly recommend or forgot about bubu the biggest labi I have seen so friendly and so cute

10.0Excellent place, so comfortable bed not bunks, Bunty is a amazing person gave very good ideas about kandy and Sri Lanka, we went to knuckles mountains with shared trip and was unforgettable place, food from lady Darshi best ever in Sri Lanka dinner with dessert cost only 5 $, so relaxing and covenant place with all facilities just 10 minutes walk to the centre.

− The host didn’t help carrying our luggage (here is the only place we didn’t get help while we were in Sri Lanka). The room doesn’t have a private bathroom ( the so-called private bathroom is downstairs and adjacent to other two rooms, when I tried to use the bathroom, and a lady was inside and locked the door). breakfast was super super simple. The place is located at a spot where the pickme drivers can’t find it, they had to call the host to locate it every time. The room doesn’t even have curtains. The host try to sell tours once you check in and ignore you when you don’t buy anything from him.

− The owner Bunty is a smooth talker who was only interested in how he would gain. He put pressure to stay longer and do the Knuckles. We refused and continued with our plans to leave after one night. Unfortunately the young couple before us were not so lucky. Bunty has a drinking problem so be firm about not accepting alcohol if you didn't ask for it...he will make you pay for what you didn't have.. Thankfully this place was the only worst experience in our amazing Sri Lanka travels.
Overpriced and not enjoyable
2.0The location was quiet and a short tuk-tuk ride to the town, and the room had a nice view. The food was quite good.
− The room had no curtains, despite having lots of windows, and no working lock. The food was slightly expensive, and items such as milk in our tea came with an extra charge. The main thing we disliked was Bunty's constant selling, for example, tea after dinner came with a long sales pitch and disrupted the fun evening with other guests. We were also offered a lift into town by Bunty, which he then attempted to charge three of us $25 for, which would have been $4-5 on the local tuk-tuk app.
