Faulty towers Italian style

the location is good. If you are a couple when the weather is cool I could see the property working if it were clean.

− Communication with the host is the worst I have ever had. Frankly he has no business being in the hospitality business. To start, with we had messaged him to confirm that there was an iron on the premises as per the property information. He messaged back to say there was no iron. When we pointed out that the property listing stated one would be provided he messaged back to say previous guests had damaged the iron and it had also be stolen by the guests so sorry but there was no iron. So we asked him if there was any thing else we should no about. His response was that if we did wanted to cancel we could. However, we were in the penalty period so we kept the reservation. I should mention we high lighted the problem to Booking.com who completely failed to do anything about this. On the day of arrival there was a general transport strike in Italy. We tried to use the booking.com estimated check in time facility but never got a response. We messaged and called the host multiple times but never got a response. When we arrived we parked in the car park adjacent to the property and found a sign with a WhatsApp number to contact the host. I spoke to the host who said he didn't speak much English but would try. The keys he told me were the ones dangling from the lock outside. He said there was no way to lock the security door so not to try. He told me not to park in the car park next door but to go across the road and the public parking and send him the car number and he would pay for it. My wife (who is in the hospitality business) inspected the property. She found the floors to be dirty, she was worried to leave valuables in this property but the biggest problem was that the place inside was like a hot sauna, as it was a hot day. We tried opening the door at the top to let the heat out but it would have been impossible for our two sons to sleep in those conditions. My wife said she could not stay there and we immediately relocated to a nearby hotel with AC and an iron.

The place is cool. It would be great for a couple. I would stay here again with my wife (or alone).

− It was advertised as a 2BR/2 bathroom with 2 showers. That's simply not true. It is a tower with three floors and a roof deck. There are bathroom doors but no doors between the first 3 levels. Apparently not good for a teenage girl whose dad snores. On the floor with the need, the pipe that would supply the shower has been sealed. There is no shower (or bathtub). There is a toilet and sink. The twin beds shown are chairs that open, which limits the use of that floor, where the kitchenette is. The kitchen is not stocked as advertised. The breakfast is in a bar 2 mins away. The breakfast was a good Italian bar breakfast (croissant, cappuccino, freshly squeezed orange juice). But that's not what the listing implies when it offers "room service". I'd stay here again but the listing inaccuracies are bad!
