Badly cleaned, wash basin awful, drive/parking a nightmare

Location

Parking is at the top of a steep gravel drive. We were grateful no other cars were parked as we slipped and slid out way up.. We parked where instructed on their video but the owner tried to park a larger vehicle in the space the video shows a small car positioned jamming us in. We were left a note on the car to move it which we did when we could. Complaints about our position on the drive continued via email, the owner not making any effort to have face to face discussion about where we should put our car which, if done initially, would have prevented a lot of ill feeling. Two pans had burnt food on them, behind the sofa clearly hadn't been recently cleaned as there was pet dander as well as dust, , the washing machine drawer was mouldy blocked and missing the siphon. There was dust and spider's webs on the book cases, The basin in the bathroom (which was clean and spacious ) is a cloakroom one with a medicine cabinet above. It is impossible to brush your teeth or shave without dripping on the floor. 2 windows in the bathroom are clear glass, with no blinds and overlooked by the owners woodstore area The fridge is a small one of the style you would get in a 1980s caravan so don't expect to be able to keep much cold. The book cases appear to be overflow from the main house with over 50 recipe books, 100+ yoga/wellbeing books, shelves of old yoga magazines and over 200 cds but no cd player. The entry gate sticks as the latch doesn't always fully pull back but we were informed it was our inability to follow a video and there was nothing wrong with the latch. It states on the tumble drier you aren't allowed to use it, that there is space behind the door and an airing cupboard -the latter it is an unheated airless space which dries nothing. We were told later we could use the line outside but as it had rained every day at some point we didn't want to have to wait in for clothes to dry, so we visited a local launderette.

Very good

Beautiful location, lovely decorations, fabulous bathroom.

The front gate access was a bit difficult, and we would have liked a table to eat at.

Pleasant enough stay for one or two nights, shame about the mattress !

6.0

Nicely decorated , good bathroom. Good location; Peaceful & couple of Pubs within walking distance. Pleasant host.

Poor mattress .Needs replacing . Difficult parking if you are old or have a big car. A bit over priced for the size of apartment, & considering it lacks few a facilities (no oven/microwave/TV)

Great location, nice style, fantastic value.

Location was great. Very close to Wroxham and The Broads but in a very quiet place down a country lane and with a beautiful empty field to walk out onto. The rooms were clean and smart with beautiful rugs and a vast library of books to enjoy. Also a lovely private courtyard to relax or eat outside in and a lovely restaurant just 5 minutes walk away.

Was surprised that there was no tv and it would have been nice to have a small table to eat on.
