10.0Die Forest Lodge liegt etwas für sich mitten im Bergnebelwald - durch die riesigen Fenster kann man vom Bett und dem Whirlpool direkt in den Wald blicken und den Kolibris zuschauen, fantastisch! An der Futterstelle vor dem Esssaal konnten wir Waschbären, Eichhörnchen, Spechte, Tukane, verschiedene Kolibris und zahlreiche weitere Vogelarten beobachten - die Kinder waren begeistert. Sehr empfehlenswert ist zudem die Quetzal-Tour bei Carlos - ein super Führer, kennt sich aus und ist ehrlich interessiert, ist in der Gegend aufgewachsen (und kennt sie wie seine Westentasche) und spricht perfekt Englisch. Sehr gutes Frühstück!
− Fast nichts - ausser, dass die Haustür nur mit dem Schlüssel geschlossen werden konnte (und sich sonst immer von selbst öffnete).

Lovely location for a couple of nights of peace and quiet and stunning surroundings
8.0Great location for a couple of nights and well appointed lodge with lovely views. A great start to our Costa Rica trip. Lots of birds all around including your veranda and the lodge was really quiet. We did a nature tour for three hours with a great guide and learnt a lot. Few mammals seen but lots of birds which is the highlight of this area even you are not a twitcher (we aren’t). Food was good and staff friendly
− Nothing specifically. Our only grumble is the transfer to Sierpe - it was the most expensive transfer we did per distance / duration by a mile and the vehicle was the lodges, pretty basic and with no a/c so it felt expensive and not good value (relative to other transfers). The driver was also in a rush and impatient at times - he was the worst driver we experienced all holiday. We highly recommend Eagle Transfers - much friendlier drivers, often they are guides, and far better vehicles (they could not service this route sadly)
