Great base to explore Hereford & the river Wye area

− Shower was a bit grubby & hot water ran out quickly. TV ariel broken.
This is a special spot, right behind Hay Bluff so incredible views and all you need in the carriage!

A lot of promise let down by a bed that creaked so much it kept us awake.
4.0The accomodation was unique and the setting very pleasant.
− The mattress was apalling. We could feel the springs and the mattress creaked loudly everytime we moved during the night, leading to 2 nights very poor sleep. Before leaving a review, I reached out twice to the owners by their recommended contacts. Once by text, and again via email - to alert them to the issue and encourage them to address it in future. If the mattress was fixed, we would love to stay again. Due to the lack of response, and being unsure if we just got the "unlucky" carriage, we are not prepared to stay there again, despite travelling regularly to the area.
Good location with basic facilities
5.0Lovely location, nice to have own gated area. Toiletries provided and good kitchen equipment. Good shower with hot water.
− The bed was uncomfortable, mattress creaky. It was quite cold in the cabin heating was intermittent which should've been on constantly for March. The sink in the bathroom was tiny and awkward to use.
The accommodation was compact but comfortable and had everything we needed
