A hidden gem in the hills.

I needed a little solo adventure to top up the tanks and fancied the feeling of camping but without the set up - When this place popped up it felt perfect! A little haven tucked away in the most glorious location. Tea on the decking in the morning was my highlight. I visited Wirksworth and Matlock as well as exploring Cromford itself. A gorgeous place to be.

I suggested a couple of extra utensils and small tweaks that would make the room even more comfortable, and the host was kind and receptive.

SHED OVERLOOKED BY HOUSES WITH A RUDE AND UNHELPFUL HOST

Absolutely nothing this property is not how it is described on here. It is literally a potting shed on someone's garden. The toilet and shower is in the out house attached to their house. You have their dog forever up and down. Your overlooked by a row of 10 plus terraced houses. Its dark and dingy and gives the feel your staying in your grandads shed. I complained about our stay and the owner continued to be rude and unhelpful about the situation arguing that her description is accurate of the place. The steps up and down to the toilet are unsafe and im disabled so we were unable to stay. I book this to have a night awau for a friend as it was the anniversary of her partners death and it ruined the whole night and experience.

The hosts are lovely, we had a BBQ on our last night. The hut was adequate for my needs with regards to cooking my own food. I was surprised to see a sofa bed rather a normal bed but it turned out to be very comfy and I slept well. Own bathroom and shower were fab really good water pressure and soft peaks water. The best bit is the private garden "living room" outside the hut, gets the sun in the morning and lovely greenery plus a wee pond with a frog. Thanks guys 😊

Basic and a bit overpriced for what it is.

Hosts very helpful and friendly..Very near local shops /pubs /food outlets and within easy walking distance of Cromford Mill, Lovely patio to sit out in at night and early morning.

Parking was not easily found and unfortunately the fold out sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Toilet and shower trips an bit of a trek especially at night and if you have mobility issues
