Great place for a nice holiday!

The owner is super friendly, helpful, and gives great tips for going out (both for Torremolinos and Malaga). The apartment is perfect for 2–3 people. Both the balcony and the pool are huge. Very close to Carahuela Beach, supermarkets and restaurants. 10-15 minuten walk to the partyarea "La nogalera" (LGBTQ+). One minute to the busstation.

Ideal base for exploring the area

We stayed in Gemas apartment in La Carihuela just before the Easter holidays and couldn't have had a nicer time. The apartment is ideally located on the 1st floor with lift access if required. It is a brilliant sized apartment, albeit with a standard double bed and small and somewhat tired shower. The bathroom is a very comfortable size, along with an open kitchen and lounge area and a good-sized balcony, with very comfortable seating. The balcony caught the late morning/early evening sun and was lovely to read and enjoy a coffee/wine on. Unfortunately, the balcony doesn't have a view, but that's expected for the price point. The apartment is ideally located in the La Carihuela area and was only a short walk to Torremolinos town & train station, where a 20min train to Malaga can be caught or up the promenade to Benalmadena and the Marina. It was our first time in the area, but we would definitely use this apartment as a base in the future. The communication from Gema was brilliant prior to and during our stay. There is a pool, although closed during our stay, and we didn’t actually locate it to view or comment further. Gemas son collected us from the airport after a very late flight and delivered us directly to the apartment for a small fee, which made check-in very seamless. We are C@tholics, and the small town church is located a 5-minute walk away and is very welcoming. We were gutted to have missed H0ly Week and the Seman@ Sant@ celebrations, but we hope to visit again for these in the future. I have had to edit this review due to t&c of booking.com flagging certain words. I hope this now makes the cut.

− The shower enclosure is somewhat tired and could do with updating. The shower itself is perfectly adequate, though, and offers good temperature and water pressure. The pillows could have been improved, and personal preference is a thicker duvet, but I like to be warm and cosy in bed.

− CUANDO PRENDIAS VARIOS ELECTRODOMESTICOS SE APAGABA LA LUZ , INCLUIDO EL CALEFON ELECTRICO. HABIA QUE DESCONECTAR ALGO BAJAR Y SUBIR LA TERMICA Y VOLVIA LA LUZ. UN TRASTORNO.LA DUEÑA NOS DIJO QUE SE SOLUCIONABA Y NUNCA SE ARREGLO EN LA SEMANA QUE ESTUVIMOS. EL PARKING ESTABA ENFRENTE AL EDIFICIO. INCOMODO. LOS CUBIERTOS Y LAS PERCHAS ERAN TODAS DIFERENTES.
