Wonderful peaceful green place, feels a million miles from Bangkok
10.0I loved this place! It's a beautiful, peaceful green location and feels a million miles from the city. The rooms are big, comfortable, spotlessly clean and serviced every day if you want. Rooms have a big fridge, quiet and efficient aircon and good wifi. The best of all though is the balcony space - it feels almost like being in the trees. Beyond the house there's a space where lots of people come for activities - kayaking and various craft things but the house itself is quiet and most people go home at the end of the day. I made use of the bicycles (free) during the day to visit the big park/nature reserve and the floating market and just to cycle round quiet roads with a real rural feel. Evenings were spent on the balcony watching birds, bats and even the odd firefly. There's no food/restaurant here but there are drinks available, there's a decent sized convenience store close by and several restaurants around and, of course there's all the food on offer at the floating market. The man who runs it is very kind and friendly and will help you with anything you need, booking moto-taxis etc. I had been working in Bangkok for 8 or 9 months before coming here and I wish I'd come here sooner, I'd have been back regularly. As it is, 5 of my last 7 weekends in Bangkok were spent here. It will be by far my best memory of this year in Thailand and I was sad to leave for the last time.

Peaceful and green, feels a world away from Bangkok.
9.0Wonderful place to get away from the city noise, traffic, concrete and steel of Bangkok Nice big room, spotlessly clean (and they'll clean and change towels for you every day if you want). Windows on two sides, nice balcony to sit and take in the greenery and nature. Bed is comfortable and everything works - aircon, shower, wifi, tv. No food on site but a big fridge and enough plates etc to prepare your own. Lots of activities available (from kayaks to crafts) but I went just for the cycling and the relaxing. I will definitely be back, it really does feel a world away from Bangkok.
