Not worth the money, too many issues need addressing before I could recommend this property
3.0The suite is a former commercial premise that has been converted to suites. However, the glass frontage remains. It is a good size. The housemaid was lovely. Nice size fridge/freezer. The bed was comfortable. I received 3 cooked breakfasts but bought myself cereal. Thankfully there was a good electric kettle.
− The suite is very close to the highway - I could literally jump off the balcony into the traffic which ran non stop 24 hours a day and underneath the room was a kareoke bar with 8oo watt speakers which thankfully ended at 10 pm most nights. The suite advertised cooking facilities - but the sink was about the size you would find in a camper trailer, on it was a large electric dish dryer and on the other side a large - empty water filtration unit - so no preparation space (bottled water was not supplied). The cooking facilities consisted of air fryer and a rice cooker - no pots/pans - really needs the kitchen bench extended and a gas/electric cooktop to be installed - to be called a kitchen/food preparation area. It rained every day and every day the water came through the roof and ran down the walls only centimetres away from the fuse board and formed a puddle on the floor - luckily enough no damage done to my laptop. I thought I'd climb out of the bed on the other side - but the same issue, so learnt to climb out at the end so as to avoid possible electrocution. The power went out a few times (to be expected in MalayBalay) and the internet in the room dropped out for long periods - until I figured out that if I put the room router extender outside the door on the balcony, I was able to get reasonable internet access - pity it was the last night before I worked that out. In conclusion I paid a little over $112 per night and I cannot recommend this property - the noise issue - not sure how they could address this unless they remove the glass doors and make it a single solid brick wall with sound proofing and solid timber door - the kareoke if they stick to the 10 pm time is manageable - but they need to be honest about that in their online site.
