Spacious but surprisingly inhospitable

The apartment is recently built, spacious, and the internet connection is excellent. Unfortunately, those were the only positive aspects of our 10-day stay.

− We arrived late in the evening and found nothing to welcome guests—not even a bottle of water, coffee capsules, or tea bags. Small touches like these make a difference, especially after a long journey. The main problem was that the apartment was not properly equipped for guests to live in. There was virtually no usable storage space. The wardrobe had three sections: one was locked with a chain, one was filled with the owner’s belongings, and the remaining section contained spare towels, cushions, and only a few hangers. We had to keep our clothes, toiletries, laptops, and personal items in open suitcases on the floor throughout the stay. Maintenance also seemed neglected. The bathroom towel rails were loose or broken, the shower hooks were missing, and the wall hanger by the entrance had been removed. There was also a very unpleasant smell coming from under the kitchen sink. The balcony was unusable because two air-conditioning condenser units were installed on the floor, blowing hot air directly into the seating area. It also overlooked an active construction site where drilling and hammering started at around 7:00 every morning. The allocated parking space was another major frustration. Cars repeatedly parked under visible “No Parking” signs, blocking access to our numbered space. We were regularly prevented from entering or leaving, while the owners of those vehicles insisted the spaces belonged to them. The apartment gave the impression that nobody checks it between guests. The kitchen had a microwave, kettle, and Nespresso machine, but only one electrical socket and no power strip. There was a hob but no frying pan, making even a simple fried egg impossible. Basic consumables such as salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, sugar and waste bags were completely absent, so we had to buy full-sized supplies that were mostly left unused. It has the potential to be good, but it feels unfinished, poorly maintained, and managed with little attention to guests’ needs.

Nice location, spacious room

− Because this is like a studio would be nice to have basic things in the kitchen, I had to buy a sponge to be able to wash dishes and there was nothing for doing the washing as well.

Modern and clean apartment

The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos: spacious and modern. It's in a quiet area, walkable to the town but not too close if you plan on going back and forth to the apartment many times during the day. The bedroom is nice and comfortable with its own AC, and the closet has hangers and extra sheets and towels. The kitchen appliances include a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and a kettle, but not enough crockery, especially cutlery (if you plan to regularly cook at home) and there are no instructions for the ceramic cooktop: I solved the problem searching a tutorial video in YouTube! Communication with the owners was perfect: any time we needed something they replied within a few minutes, either via email or on the phone (I received the numbers in the detailed instructions, along with the code for the self check-in). Internet service was excellent and consistent throughout the day. Only one morning it didn't work and they promptly took care of it. The neighborhood has several delicious home-made food eateries, two supermarkets (Lidl and Kritikos), and some excellent restaurants, like the Stable Thrakotaverna and Misirlou (this one has live traditional music a few days a week!) If you like freshly-made bougatsa, have breakfast at Hobo, a cafe nearby that has its own pastry lab!

− Nothing in particular, but I’ll mention some aspects that other reviewers didn’t comment upon. While there are some cleaning supplies, for the washing machine you need to buy your own detergent. The fridge is quite noisy (it didn't bother us at night because we closed the door of the bedroom). The balcony of the apartment is on the back of the building, facing a construction site where workers begin early in the morning (around 7:15). If you use the air conditioning, you can't sit outside because of the heat and the noise the units emit.
