Everything was way more than what we expected. The breakfast was spot on and above what we expected. The setting and decor were superb and was a credit to the hosts. We would certainly stay there again and would recommend the Tui Lodge to anybody looking for a superb place to stay, only don't spend your time looking for bears to come out of the woods. (The hosts will know what I mean).

− The only thing we didn't like was we didn't have enough time to really enjoy this place.

Facilities were good and place was very clean. Quiet and remote.

− Fan in bathroom very noisy and no isolator when going to the toilet. Too remote and no nearby facilities.

My traveling pal and I had the entire lodge to ourselves. We loved the property. Sadly we did not bring anything to eat and all the vendors were closed before we arrived. Thankfully there was a bag of potatoe chips at the outside bar. That was our meal for the day. Please let guests know how winding and without light the approaching roads are. Jack the cat was sweet. It would be a nightmare parking with more guests. The gated parking is too tight to maneuver in with 3 cars let alone 6. We loved our stay and the commercial kitchen. Next time we'll realize there are limited amenities available at the bay. It's gorgeous there. Thank you to the nice hosts.

Awesome spot

Really awesome spot, equipped with everything you need to be comfortable plus Oakura beach is only a couple minutes drive if you fancy a dip. Would highly recommend staying here before doing the hike to Cape Brett as its only a half an hours drive from the start.
