A slice of heaven on earth.

This is a real piece of heaven, very spacious, and extremely tastefully decorated. We were greeted by the caretaker Caroline and her husband, so there was no issue with fumbling with a keysafe which never quite works. The house was warm, teawater was ready, we had fresh flowers and scones on the table... Just the best start for a birthday weekend. The kitchen is well equipped (well, we should have brought our own soup ladle, but this is really minor). The heating is great, and there are also two fireplaces for extra warmth and cosyness. Even the weather played ball (but of course if it had not, the hosts would not have been responsible). The next good beach is Dooey beach, we did not find Maghery beach/strand as spectacular as reviews suggested. A 1.4 km walk brings you to a small bay now used for oyster farming - nice for dog walking, but not more.

Nothing really (we did bring our own wok and espresso maker but thats because we are fiddly with cooking)

New Year Retreat

10.0

Fantastic location. Beautiful house. Everything you need. Stunning views. Near by Port Noo and Dooey Beach awesome. Dungloe good for food and a wee Guinness. Just the place to switch off, relax and connect with nature. Sit back and watch the Oyster Farm workers by day and gaze at the moon and stars at night. Didn't want to leave.
