Fantastic Chilean home in the Maipo valley
9.0I was very honoured to be one of the first guests in this new home on Booking.com. I had a lovely twin room in a beautiful, hand-built house in a traditional style. The place is run by a Mother and Son - Yvette and Jorge - who are excellent hosts and care very much for their guests. They have two little dogs, who are delightfully friendly and playful! The area is very quiet and peaceful at night, so a good night's sleep is possible. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast of omelette from eggs laid by their own hens. The area has several good wine producers, all offering excellent wine and lunch options. Be aware that the property is on a parcella/lot in a large, gated community. Stay in touch via WhatsApp, and the owners will open the gate remotely. The house is about 200 metres down, on the left, almost as far as the road goes.
− The area seems to have few options for evening dinner nearby, so make plans accordingly! Best to have a good lunch at one of the local winery restaurants.
