The property is gorgeous, set in the middle of nature right next to Los Campesinos Ecolodge. We heard all kinds of wildlife and saw lots of neat birds. The house is spotlessly clean and very well laid out to make the most of the space (maybe 750/800 sq ft total?). Lots of small attention to detail that make it feel like a lovely retreat - a water cooler that provides cold water, more kitchen utensils than I’m used to having at the average Airbnb, and even some ice cubes in the freezer (a rare treat for an American in Costa Rica!). The kitchen opens right up to the large patio/deck, so you can enjoy nature and/or the sound of your kids laughing and splashing in the pool while washing your dishes 😄. Even has an a/c that works very well. The owner told us to help ourselves to any fruit we wanted to pick, and the kids (ok, also me) had a great time climbing the star fruit tree, picking some, and eating it for breakfast. The owner was very responsive by Whatsapp with any question we had. The only downside is the road - it’s an intense 4x4 experience to get up there! Very doable, but just stressful for someone like me. Also highly recommend a relaxing day at Los Campesinos Ecolodge- within walking distance of the house and has delightful trails with relaxing waterfalls/springs to swim in. Unbelievably great deal - easily worth twice the price we paid (but admittedly a little off the beaten path secondary to the slow drive on the rough road).
