Nordic Villa in Rovaniemi with a Private Sledding Hill, Sauna & Cozy Family Stay♡

Everything was super clean, villa was super well equipped, the host Leena was greatly welcoming, kind and supportive, amazing location for spotting aurora. Generally pictures of places are better than reality but in this case Im was opposite, villa was much more better that the pictures. We were group of 6-7 ppl and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a hassle free experience.

− It may be a bit hard to go to center. You need to use uber or bolt. But we preferred it

Krásný pohodlný dům v klidné části, v blízkosti lesa. Přes les se dá krásnou procházkou asi 20 minut dojít do Santovy vesničky. Byli jsme všichni nadšeni.

Perfect house for kids

Firstly, our host Leena was amazing. She was so responsive and patient with all our questions. She organised car and winter clothes rental for us and honestly went above and beyond to make our stay magical. The house was amazing, the sledding hill was a highlight each day for the kids and there was plenty of space for us all (4 adults and 5 kids). There was a sauna and a fire pit too which made nice activities for the evenings. You could walk to SCV from the house, about 20mins through a forest trail. A small shop about 15mins walk away but otherwise a car was needed. The house was well stocked, it had everything you could need on terms of cooking/eating but also things like toiletries and towels. There were 2 double rooms, one room with 2 singles and one room with 3 singles. There was also some boardgames and Lego etc for kids to play with although the snow was such a novelty for them most of their time was spent outside.

− Honestly nothing! I can't fault the house or host. It was quite expensive for the week but then Finland is expensive anyway and we had no regrets staying there. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

This property is just amazing The sledding hill in the back garden ideal for kids (and adults) The house was clean, spacious, well equipped and warm Location was brilliant- close enough to walk to scv and shops etc but far enough away to feel you have privacy and not too built up. Leena the host was the best. She put me at ease the minute I booked our DIY Lapland trip and we even managed to check in early!

Stunningly beautiful home set in a magical snowy wonderland ⛄️

From our initial enquiry to leaving the property Leena (the owner) was simply amazing, helpful and went way beyond her role to help and assist us. We’ve stayed at many properties before but none have even come close this touch of magic. The setting is just something magical, down a quiet snowy street with no through traffic so is perfect for peace and quiet. A 2 minute walk down the street and you’re in a beautiful snowy, wooded Forrest where you can easily walk with children through to SCV. That said our kids didn’t want to go out and explore as the house itself is just perfect. The layout and size is great for small and large families alike with the 4 huge bedrooms. Amazing dining space with views out across the garden and snowy street - not to mention the underfloor heating which keeps the house so warm and toasty! Now the garden… this is the biggest bonus for any family or adults who love to relive their childhood! Snow covered with its own sledging hills - not one but 2!! Leena has a selection of sleds, boards, mats and discs for you to use - there’s even a sled bike and scooter which was a big hit with our little ones! Again we cannot thank Leena enough for her time and effort before and during our stay - we will 100% be back to visit again! Leena also knew it was our son’s birthday while we were there so had a gift waiting for when we arrived… 🙏
