- The elderly hosts are kind. They accommodated an early check in (much appreciated!) and left cold water and watermelon in the fridge. On two out of three of our mornings they brought us orange juice and small breakfast treats (3 cookies/ 3 honey bread). - The balcony has a lovely view, but the umbrella is useless against the hot morning sun and you can only sit outside before sunrise.

− - The space is extremely cramped and very difficult for two people to live in. While the cottage style is fine, there is a big difference between rustic charm and an apartment that just feels old and dirty. The floors were quite dirty and the kitchen counter is so tiny that the trash can has to be kept outside. - Many items felt like old, discarded household items. - The clothes drying rack was broken. - There was no hairdryer, no shower gel and/or shampoo (only hand soap) and no washing machine (despite being advertised). - The coffee maker was broken on arrival. Though replaced the next day, we had no paper filters and barely enough coffee for a 3-day stay. - The dog chewed up my shoes which were left right outside the entrance door. While partly my fault for leaving them there, it was a very frustrating end to the trip. We truly appreciated the gestures from the hosts, but the lack of cleanliness and basic functional amenities made the stay uncomfortable. To be honest, even it were free, I wouldn't stay again.
