Total comfort at the perfect Lerwick location at a great price!
10.0This was our second stay at Alder Lodge and won’t be our last. The location is perfect for exploring Lerwick as it is within walking distance to everything. There is a bus stop within a 3-minute walk that provides easy access to the airport and other points of interest on the mainland. The bus fare is only £2 regardless of the length of the journey and you can pay by tapping your credit card. The room was extremely comfortable with two large closets to unpack and feel at home. The Wifi works great and the shower pressure was the best I’ve experienced at any hotel. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They were kind enough to do a small bag of laundry for us at a very fair price. The breakfast is outstanding! They have a hearty hot breakfast including, bacon, eggs, beans, sausage, toast. The porridge is the hidden gem of the breakfast menu. I highly recommend trying it!

10.0Unusually clean and nice. Relatively simple and down to earth, yet very solid and high quality in all interior details. The breakfast was good with a personal touch, and the host extremely nice and friendly. Very good value for money.

10.0Great location, quiet area, beds comfortable. Decent shower, nice breakfast, wifi excellent, large room. Easy checkin and checkout. Able to store luggage and use the common lounge room with very comfortable chairs upon checkout. Would absolutely recommend and return.
− Bathroom amenities a bit basic but functional. Some rooms are on 2nd floor, no elevator (not an issue for us, simply stating for those with disabilities would be difficult)
