Accommodation clean and comfortable. Lounge and kitchen/ dining area very nice. The bed was comfortable and shower good. Location great. Lovely village. Nice, quiet street. Basic locals pub next door ( Grey Bull) for a drink/ football and Battlesteads inn nearby which was nicer and food good. Good location for Roman remains, Go Ape at Matfen, Kielder water. Car essential though. Lots of nice walks around.

− Kitchen not that well equipped if you were staying a week and wanted to cook often. Plenty of pans but only one glass dish and no bowls/ other serving dishes. A Sunday roast would be tricky for example. And if you wanted to cook a hot meal and serve with a salad you'd need to serve the salad in a saucepan! We were only there 4 nights so it wasn't a major issue

It was well organised, best place we have been with a dog, highly recomnend, excellent pub meal 3 min walk, other places to eat and drink in a short drive, shop across the road, plenty to visit nearby,

− Union jack in garden was upside down, but we coped with that😄

Absolutely great choice so pleased. Small touches like milk in the fridge when you arrive, apples and biscuits. The bed was so comfy and towels fluffy. Quiet location for a couples getaway. Spotlessly clean. Cafe on the corner is great.

Perfect stay in a beautiful location

I can’t rate the property highly enough. It was clean, bright and airy. It had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen, tea/coffee, condiments and a lovely touch by the owners to provide milk, fruit and biscuits. The location was perfect! The village of Wark has a hotel/restaurant, pub, shop and cafe. It’s a short drive to places of interest. Our dog was welcome and we had a fenced off area for her to come and go.
