Nice kitchen and living space. Good bedrooms. Great seafront location

− Front bedroom is noisy. Bathroom isn’t the best.

Shocking - because of the smell of urine - and disappointing, because the flat was only adequate.

Location was excellent for access to the beach. Apartment is adequate. kitchen is adequate.

− Parking at the rear - tight squeeze Free-for-all. Front door - not at all inviting - unclaimed post all over the floor and shelves. Hallway STINKS of urine and all the way up the stairs of which there are many. Windows are ill fitting, they don’t close. Bathroom- the stiff shower knob doesn’t turn far enough to stop the flow of water - shower hose is taped with green tape. The shampoo bottle (if you’d wanted to use it) was empty. There is no shelving to use for cosmetics and bathroom toiletries etc. Bedrooms - okay, unfortunately the front bedroom, although with a very pleasant view, is opposite The Claremont Pier Fun Palace from which emanates loud music (and the window won’t close). In addition, first thing in the morning there is a sand dredger crossing the beach, understandably to level and clean it… However at 6 o’clock in the morning that isn’t great. Kitchen - only one side of the toaster works. Kept banging our heads on the lights over the breakfast bar. There are no provisions for recycling. There are no manuals or instructions for, eg, the cooker or the television. Initially the tv wouldn’t work at all, then we swapped it for the one in the back bedroom which was sticking out of the bed box. The apartment was only adequate. It was very disappointing, considering all the fuss about confirmation of identity, a £200 deposit and the requirement to sign a rental agreement (yes for just two days) I was expecting better and was utterly disappointed.

Great size apartment, clean, tidy and perfect location. It offered everything we needed.

− Nothing

Desperately disappointing, the warm and comfortable flat only accessible via totally inadequate parking and stairs.

The flat was sparely but adequately equipped.. we liked the view, heating was good, beds comfy. Directly on the promenade opposite the pier especially good for fireworks.

− The parking area was an insanitary disgrace, bins spilling their contents, dog mess in many places. Completely unclear as to how and where to park, it needs to be cleaned and marked up, and maintained, or abandoned. The house entrance likewise. Uneven floor slabs and misleading paint marking caused one accident. Shared area is still part of the holiday environment.

− The accommodation did not come up to your standard. The cleaning which had been done was NOT acceptable. The hallway was very untidy and dirty, the stair carpet had not been cleaned recently. every kitchen cupboard door was covered in finger marks, the cutlery had to be cleaned before we would use it, the sink in the bathroom was only a hand washing basin for a cloakroom. The light switch(ceiling pull) was behind the door as it had been re-hung on the opposite door jamb. We were not impressed.
