An Expensive Mistake.
1.0To be honest, nothing got past the disappointment. The marketing hook of ‘Shepherds Hut’ is beyond ridiculous. It is more like a rail freight truck with the wheels removed. On the hottest day of the year (37C June 26) it was roasting hot inside with hardly any windows and with no a/c. We explained to the unsympathetic owner that we were 78 and my wife 68 (having just come out of hospital with a heart condition) and that no elderly person should stay there under the exceptional conditions with Government Red Warnings galore. We left on sight. However, he gave us no concession other that the linen washing refund as we did not stay there. Don’t be fooled. This ‘hut’ is actually shed parked on the edge of a field, devoid of any charm.
