House was tidy and was comfortable, exactly what we needed.

− Could use a bit of fixing up in some aspects like the drawers and some of the lights were out - just small things that would make it better

Terrible dirty property and poor service

− Not cleaned prior to our arrival. Beds had been slept in and still not made up Dirty dishes in sink Sick down the side of the bed Filthy soiled sheets and bedding so we had to purchase our own and sleep on the settee and floor for the first night. Took 3 days to get a clear response from owner and agent. No response at all from Booking.com customer service messages. Promised a full refund by the agent which should have been near £300 booking cost and recieved only £100 which just about covered the new bedding we purchased. Absolutely terrible experience and service.

Not fit for purpose, extremely disappointing.

Heating and wifi didn’t work. No tea, coffee, shampoo, soap, dish washing detergent. Multiple light globes missing, leaving areas without sufficient lighting. Not presented like the advertised photos. Multiple (about 10-15) large rubbish bags of household waste & food thrown in the backyard, in line of windows. Rubbish infested with flies. 1 roll of toilet paper supplied for 2 night booking of a 4 bedroom house. 2 kitchen drawers broken and sitting on top of fridge. Not fit for rental property. Support from the agent leasing the property was non existent. Property inside was clean, but not presented like the photos. Had no wow factor. Extremely disappointing.

Perfect location for visiting family who lived in Roker / Seaburn. Rooms airy and beds comfortable. Nice touches - toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee.

WE WERE A PARTY OF 7 NOT A SOLO TRAVELLER, UNSURE WHY REVIEW SAYS THIS. The street was generally quiet and clean. There is a sainsburys and an Aldi close by (in different directions) we had a car so could get to everywhere we needed easily. The keys were easy to retrieve. The communication from the team was brilliant and we could not have asked for better there. The property itself was overall clean, welcoming and comfortable. The rooms were bright, predominantly white with beautiful teal/blue accent walls throughout which really brought the property together. There was ample space for our party of 7 who were staying. The facilities were clean and in general good working order. With the toilet situated at the rear of the property , it meant no one was wakened with others using the bathroom during the night. The beds were clean and comfortable. The sofa was clean and comfortable. We could get parked outside the door which was great. There is a large bedroom downstairs and 3 further, smaller but decent sized bedrooms upstairs. Recommend this property to families with older children or all adults. We thank horizon stays for a lovely stay.

− The blinds in bedrooms would be better to be blackout, especially over the lighter months as the children were up at the crack of dawn. There is only 1 toilet which wasn't a massive issue but 7 people sharing got a bit tricky. This isn't a deal breaker and we made it work. The only toilet is on the lower floor with open stairs, was a worry for the kids going down them during the night, nothing happened thankfully. The property really would not have room to add another toilet. This isn't a major issue but worth knowing ahead of time.
