Beautiful view but lacked the basic condiments

Love the view and layout of the room. The swivel chairs were divine.

− Disappointed with the lack of milk, bread or something light for a breakfast. Happy to pay the price but would have expected a few basic amenities. Down at Arthur River and Marrawah, the b&b's even leave bottles of the local gin and fresh baked goods. Not that we expected that, but even some milk and bread with butter and jam would have been ideal.

Overall we had a lovely stay.

Excellent views Quiet and private Good position to explore other areas along the north west coast Very useful to have a washing machine and dryer as we were midway through a 2 week drive around Tasmania

− The door code was on a timer (I think), which we didn't realise. So we tried the code a little before our check in time (about 5 mins before), couldn't get in and then repeated tries of the code locked us out. We had to contact the property manager, who then contacted the owners and they re-set the code. Perhaps explaining that the pin should not be used before the entry time would be helpful, as people do arrive a little early and would expect to be able to get in if it's within 1/2 an hour of arrival time. We couldn't find the remote for the fire. One of the screen doors kept banging in the wind. The spa bath looked great, but we didn't use it because of the warnings about water consumption.

I would have scored this beautiful property a 10/10 if not for the unfortunate situation on arrival (see comments below). The apartment is situated in a quiet cul de sac a 5 minute walk from glorious Boat Harbour main beach. It is located above a larger 2 BR unit below with a deck that stretches out over the rocky shore of the ocean. When entering the apartment you are greeted with million dollar views through floor to ceiling glass of the sheer beauty of the ocean before you. It is beautifully finished and appointed with absolutely everything you need for a very comfortable stay. After 5 days walking we greatly appreciated the built in laundry facilities provided. The kitchen is small with just a smallish bar fridge but well equipped, plenty of hanging space and a large twin sink bathroom, walk in shower and a very large spa bath...which with the water shortage seemed contradictory.

− On arrival at our allotted checkin time we had still not received any information for coded checkin. I was hoping / assuming we may be met at the property in person with the required information but this was not the case. I called the owner's contact no. several times with the call going straight to voicemail on each occasion. I also tried the contact no. for the manager listed...also without success. We were left at the property with no codes, no information and no contact. After some time the owner did finally return our calls but with not so much as a "SORRY" for the inconvenience. 1 HOUR AFTER finally gaining entry I received an SMS message from the Manager with all the codes necessary for the checkin process.....again with NO APOLOGY for the inconvenience caused through no fault of our own. The only other negative could be the car parking is very tight in the twin carport if both units are occupied at the same time...on this occasion it was not an issue for us as the other unit was unoccupied.
