10.0The architecture and decore both inside and outside were outstanding! Pictures don't do it justice! It is convenient to Volcano National Park and to the best restaurant around, Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant! You can't help but relax in such a beautiful and serene environment.

10.0Hale Ho'okipa is a gorgeous, thoughtful, pristine, well-appointed mountain cabin with a perfectly chosen name. It fit well with the gorgeous tropical mountain fauna & terrain but was completely up to date with all the needed amenities. We lacked for nothing! And the location [so close to Mt. Kilauea] just couldn't be beaten.

10.0This was easily my favorite rental experience ever! The property is a beautifully designed, fully updated tropical paradise near Volcano National Park that offers complete privacy and nothing but chill vibes. The hosts were incredible, keeping us updated with helpful alerts and exciting local news throughout our stay. They truly thought of everything: the welcome packet was comprehensive and beautifully done, and the kitchen was the most well-appointed I’ve seen. We were greeted with local treats and high-end amenities like umbrellas, lanterns, and flashlights for exploring. The bedrooms were pure luxury, such an important experience when you're sleeping away from home. I’ve never slept in a more comfortable bed, and the luxe bedding, heated blankets, and two plush robes in every room made it feel like a five-star resort. The attention to detail here is unmatched. I honestly could have stayed for a month! If you are looking for a dream stay on the Big Island, this is it. We had the bonus of "popping over" to the National Park again the day of check out just as Episode 43 was erupting (a fact that of course Kent was messaging us about urgently).
− I definitely didn't like that we only stayed here for 2 nights. What a travesty! We were also super disappointed with how this high level experience made our prior reservation in Kona and our next reservation in Hilo extremely disappointing.
